Comfortable in all conditions

After years of searching for a pair of cycling shorts that fit perfectly and are reasonably priced, I finally settled on the Castelli Competizione. These trousers fit me like a glove, although one size bigger than my normal size but that's no problem. Both short and long endurance rides of 4 hours are no problem for the chamois. My previous cycling shorts were much more expensive to very expensive but they just weren't up to the job. With these Castelli trousers, you buy good quality trousers for a nice price. Highly recommended.

Super fine cycling trousers that are also adequate for long rides. The chamois is wonderfully comfortable and the trousers fit really well. The size indication based on your trouser size is great!

Very comfortable and excellently finished bib shorts. The fabric is stretchy and settles to your body just fine. After a few long bike rides, no chafing at all. Especially the seat area surprised me in a positive way. The breathable mesh panels work fine. If in doubt between two sizes, take the larger one.

Very decent quality. Leg grippers do their job very well. Chamois gives enough padding for longer rides of around 80-100km. All in all very comfortable bib shorts. Can’t really go wrong with these Castellis for the price. Sizing can differ greatly from other brands. I like to size up one size for perfect fit. I’m a size M normally, went with L in these and they fit great.

I like the trousers with a good chamois, you can spend a long day in the saddle with them Sitting. Sizing!?!!? I always struggle with getting my bib on properly. Legs too tight and then around my waist too loose... pull up higher but then everything at the bottom pinches again. Now size M, am 182cm myself.

According to size chart, I should have an L. The width of my jeans is 31a32. I went for an xl and it fits really well. I feel the L is too tight. Clothes too tight the stretch goes out too. Time will tell

Good cycling shorts to have several of in your closet. Nothing special, but fully meets expectations. Keep in mind that castelli has small sizes!

Ordered these trousers based on reviews and product info plus videos on the internet. Mantel had these trousers in stock and at a competitive price. The ordering procedure went as usual: flawless and fast. Ordered in the evening, delivered the next day and went for a ride that same evening. First impressions are good: fine fabric and barely visible seams. Nice lining on the inside so the trouser legs do not creep. I had my reservations about the chamois because it feels less thick and soft than my previous Bioracer bib shorts. The fear proved unjustified. It is a bit tougher and flatter but therefore for me more suitable for longer rides on a gravel bike. No chafing and suppleness trumps. The only downside are the (not very wide) braces. They could have been wider to keep things in place. All in all, a top product that feels good and underlines Castelli's quality. Do choose at least one size bigger than usual!

These are fine cycling pants that fit tightly around the body. Do buy two sizes larger than normal because of the Italian sizing.

Falls very small, I needed XXL with normal build and 1.86m height. Good chamois and fits very well everywhere. Nice materials and aero bottom with rubber on the inside makes sure leg pieces stay in place.

Over 8 years ago (or longer even) bought an Assos. Expensive, but very good. Now I needed a new one. I'm a lot less fanatical and a bit older, so I didn't need to buy such an expensive one. I like the pants. Very comfortable. Very tight, I like it. No creeping up and no nasty rub marks in groin or elsewhere.

Previously always worn loose clothing for mountain biking but have tried some tighter clothing. After first use this is definitely my preference. I bought the set with shirt and it fits perfectly. Comfortable pants with a good chamois for long bike rides. The fabric is also of good flexible quality and breathes well, definitely recommended!

Comfortable pants for training, racing and touring. Tight cut provides pleasant compression, but your thighs and buttocks have to adjust to it for the first 5 minutes every ride. After that, you won't feel you have it on and won't want anything else. Chamois guarantees hours of cycling, whether cruising or racing. Warm enough in spring and fall with leg warmers.

Despite the sizing from the jeans size, the pants fell fairly small. I had doubts if I shouldn't take a bigger one. Especially if your thighs are a bit bigger this is pretty tight. The chamois takes quite a long time to dry. Just wash it and put it on the next day. It is a great pants for longer rides, I find that it fits better than other brands.

For this price, you should expect something from a pair of cycling pants and these pants are well worth their pennies! Put on and don't look back. For a moment I had the feeling I had bought pants that were too small, but Mantel's size chart turned out to be very accurate. Buying even more expensive pants is a waste of money and buying cheaper pants is a waste of both your behind and the money. (and the rest...)

The best cushion I've had so far. The firm cushion is enormously comfortable - even with over 100km tours. To mention: At 194 height and 84kg I need size 3XL so that the straps are long enough.

Bought these cycling shorts for a multi-day trip cycling. I only had short Decathlon cycling shorts but for the long distances I wanted one that had a better chamois and stayed on better. This was the perfect choice for that. I hesitated for a long time whether I wanted to spend that much money for a pair of pants, but where all my cycling buddies suffered from saddle sores, I was still comfortable on my bike. The suspenders also hold the pants well in place but are also not so tight that it hurts the shoulders. Only a small pocket in one of the legs would have made it absolutely fantastic for me, but still, these pants are well worth the money. With a narrow build, height of 187cm and weight of 75kg, size L fit me perfectly.

Wonderful bibshort, bought for longer rides on the gravel bike. After 4.5 hours of bouncing over the sandy paths of the Achterhoek, no saddle sores at all. Pants fit like a glove, anti-slip is top! The gray color is super!

Nice bib shorts. I am 1.84 and 70 kilos. After much doubt (Castelli size charts are always tricky) I went for L and it fits perfectly. Suspenders pull a bit when standing up but once in riding position you don't notice this. Chamois is always very personal but I really like it.

First up my measurements: Height: 180cm, Weight: 79kg, Waist: 90cm, Hips: 95cm, Chest size: 110cm. I ordered the L and they fit perfectly. I wore them for a 100k ride at the weekend they performed well and look great on to be fair. I prefer the Kiss pad to Castelli's higher end offerings as it is not as bulky. My only concern would be quality. I noticed some loose stitching even before I put them on and a couple of more loose threads after my 100k ride. I cut these back but it remains to be seen how long these shorts will last. Fingers crossed because I do like them.

Great pants, good chamois. Have a size M in most pants and now with these too. In jeans I usually have a size 30 width, weight 70 kg and 1.78 m. However, my previous Castelli was size L and somewhat on the roomy side. I also tried on the L and it creased a bit. My advice is buy bike pants in the store and not over the internet unless you are sure of your size. You can compare different models and sizes directly. Can't say anything about durability yet.

The pad is top, narrow and sufficiently thick , so rather thin, in this respect my best of four pants I have. Really good. Legs actually sit quite tight and have a wide band. Did not find it so disturbing yet, does not slip. Have ordered s, 173cm, for ass / chest ratios would be there m or l better, but had no desire to a zusammen geknüddeltes pad more. Note: so far only used on Smarttrainer for max ride each 2.5h at a time

The pants are quite tight because Castelli M is really size S, In terms of workmanship and materials, this entry-level model from Castelli is not distinctive enough compared to short cycling pants from other brands (AGU, Decathlon) in the same price range.
