Definitely recommended for everyone young or older.
As you get older, you notice it in your neck muscles. Turning then becomes a bit more difficult, this together with varifocal glasses makes it even more difficult. So I bought this mirror so I can see at once what is happening behind me and anticipate when crossing the road.
