Mechanical disc brakes brake well, but do have to be adjusted somewhat more often than hydraulic disc brakes.
The 8-speed shifting is functional but offers less precision gearing than more expensive groupsets.
With a simple design, the saddle may not be comfortable enough for everyone on long rides but it is easy to replace.
