The Shimano Ultegra R8170 C36 Disc wheels with 36 mm high rims are versatile, and absolutely suitable for use in the mountains.
The wind has almost no effect on these wheels, making them feel wonderfully playful when going uphill as well as on steep descents.
The Ultegra R8170 Disc wheels respond instantly when going into a corner and let you accelerate easily when coming out of it.
As these wheels are tubeless compatible, the risk of a flat tyre is minimised when you ride with tubeless tyres and latex.
At 1481 grams this set is very lightweight compared to other wheels for disc brakes in this price class.
