The Maxxis Ardent XO TLR MTB tyre uses an aggressive tread with knobs, designed to offer optimal traction combined with a classic look. The Skinwall tyres give your bike that little extra touch. The raised knobs next to the main tread ensure you'll cut through corners at speed without losing traction. The tread itself has been designed to grip onto the terrain when accelerating and braking.
The Maxxis Ardent EXO TLR Tanwall tyres can be used tubeless which greatly reduces your chances of getting a flat. By riding tubeless, you can use a lower tyre pressure without risking snake bites, as there's no inner tube to puncture. If there is a leak, then the liquid latex added to the tyre beforehand will quickly plug the hole.

I was looking for a replacement with slightly coarser tread for the Maxxis Rekon Race with which I had too little traction/grip when climbing. I like this Maxxis Ardent a lot better in that respect and it works fine in the terrain I ride (mainly forest and trails).
