The Castelli Squadra Stretch Vest has coated ripstop nylon on the front and back. This fabric keeps the wind away from the front and splashing water off the back. In addition, the back of this windbreaker has been extended for additional protection. The high collar keeps drafts out too.
Stretch fabric inserts on the sides
There are stretch fabric inserts on the sides of the Castelli Squadra Stretch Vest. These ensure a perfect and snug fit, even for different body shapes, to help minimise the chance that the vest will start fluttering in the wind.
Reflective details and easy to store
Reflective details have been placed on the chest and lower back of this windbreaker. They make you more visible in low light conditions. Finally, the Castelli Squadra Stretch Vest can be folded into a compact size and then easily stored in a back pocket of your regular cycling jersey.

Handy to start the ride with when it's still chilly. Not yet tested extensively, but feel confident about it. I wear M as T-shirts myself. Jacket recommendation was also M for this vest but it was really too small. Especially at the armpits. Even an L is a bit tight, but I think it's ok since on descents you also don't want it flapping on all sides.

Sits comfortably and functions well
It's comfortable and also provides most of the wind and cold. This makes it a lot less chilly on the bike on windy days!

Pity next time choose a more expensive model
I expected more from Castelli , but this vest is too noisy for me when going downhill

Does what it needs to do
Unsure between an XL and XXL but because of my height 1.94cm went for an XXL and no regrets.

Castelli always makes great products
It's a shame that the back is so waterproof. A mesh fabric would have been welcome...
