Description
Stable on the move
Cannondale has developed a gravel bike on which you will be firm and stable on the road. A special gravel geometry and sturdy equipment will give you many adventurous rides.
Technology
Good gravel geometryA lightweight aluminium frame is at the heart of this gravel bike. This lightweight frame ensures proper handling of the bike. In addition, Cannondale uses the OutFront handlebar geometry. The front wheel is positioned further forward in relation to the rider, providing more stability and confidence on rougher terrain. In addition, this bike is equipped with a carbon fork which handles uneven road surfaces properly.
Sturdy equipment
This bike is equipped with a Shimano Sora drivetrain. The 2x9 Shimano Sora groupset is common on bikes in this price range, and shifts as you'd expect. The 11-34 cassette allows for you a wide gear range, so you can reach the top of the steeper roads in a comfortable gear. The mechanical disc brakes are from Promax and deliver excellent stopping power, even in poor conditions. Finally, this bike is fitted with WTB Riddler Comp tyres that will keeps you in control even in fast corners.

For this price, you get a lot of bike.
Ordering and delivery went nicely. Just straighten the handlebars, put the pedals on and the saddle at height and you can ride. It's an entry-level bike so expectations should be commensurate with that. The bottom bracket is a bit old-fashioned but turns fine. I immediately upgraded the wheelset and tyres with an entry-level gravel wheelset by DT Swiss (G1800) and 44mm Vredestein Aventura tubeless tyres, weight saving 1.1kg (rolling weight) and a lot more comfortable riding over gravel. Overall, I think you get a lot for the money. The fork is all carbon, there are thrust shafts in the wheels which is sometimes quick release on entry-level bikes. The bike is not very agile, but stable on the straight, which is nice on gravel. I had my reservations about mechanical disc brakes, but this turned out fine. The Shimano Sora group is simple and some bigger jumps between gears, but it also works fine in the end. You can attach things to the bike anywhere, 3 bottle cages, front fork bags, carrier, mudguards, etc. For gravel rides, holidays and bikepacking in my opinion, a great bike.
