WaveCel offers more effective protection than standard EPS foam helmets
This Bontrager Starvos helmet features the WaveCel crash protection technology. WaveCel is a collapsible cellular structure which lines the inside of the helmet. To absorb the force of an impact, the material structure of WaveCel changes in 3 consecutive steps. Step 1: The cell structure bends, absorbing the first external forces. Step 2: The cell structure crumples, much like a car bumper in a collision. Step 3: WaveCel moves the impact energy away from the head. The result is more effective protection against head injuries than that offered by traditional EPS foam helmets.
Headmaster Fit system and LockDown strap dividers for a perfect fit
At the back of the Bontrager Starvos WaveCel you'll find the Headmaster Fit system. This system can be used to make this road bike helmet a perfect fit for any head shape. It is easy to operate with one hand for adjusting height and/or head circumference. You can use the LockDown strap dividers for easy adjustment of the helmet straps. In this way, you can make very precise changes to the fit to make the helmet more comfortable to wear.
Soft and washable helmet lining
The inner lining of the Bontrager Starvos WaveCel helmet consists of a soft material that makes the helmet feel comfortable on your head. The lining wicks moisture away effectively and is easy to wash to make the helmet smell nice and fresh again.

Okay however comfort suffers

A well designed helmet and it loock good to have on in a crash. The issue I have is that the adjuster at the back does not have any foam or padding and that cam serious rub.
