Everything you need to know about the new Wahoo ELEMNT Ace - with integrated aero sensor!
After new releases from major competitors, Wahoo is launching its newest bike computer right before the holidays: the Wahoo ELEMNT Ace. After the Bolt and Roam they're introducing the ELEMNT Ace: innovative, versatile bike navigation with a number of unique features. A must-have for your wishlist? Find out in this blog!
A boundary-pushing display
The Wahoo ELEMNT Ace's display is an immediate eye-catcher. It has the largest display in its category, at 3.8 inches, and provides unrivalled clarity and colours. The design was finetuned for optimal visibility, whether you're cycling through a shadowy forest or are speeding across the asphalt in the full sun. Thanks to a clever combination of a high resolution and an anti-glare coating, you can always effortlessly read your data. The touchscreen reacts quickly and reliably, even when you're wearing gloves or when you're using the ELEMNT Ace in wet conditions. Plus, this computer has physical buttons for extra ease of use, too.
Innovation in aerodynamics: integrated wind sensor
The Wahoo ELEMNT Ace introduces an entirely new way of measuring your performance and improving it, with its integrated aero sensor. This technology provides live feedback about the way wind resistance influences your speed and power. With insights like resistance dynamics and the effect of drafting, you'll be able to optimise your position on the road directly. After your training session, you can analyse detailed information to further improve your aerodynamic efficiency. This makes the ELEMNT Ace a forerunner in terms of making aerodynamic measurements accessible, without needing specialised measuring equipment.
Suitable for long training rides and multi-day tours!
You're guaranteed reliable performance, even during multi-day tours or intensive training sessions, with a battery life of over 30 hours. Dual-band GPS support and cloud-based synchronisation means your ride data will always be safe, as well as easily accessible via the Wahoo-app. Thanks to the adjustable profiles, you can adapt your screen settings to various types of rides, whether you're planning a long gravel ride or starting a fast interval training session.
Seamless connectivity and a new Wahoo app
The ELEMNT Ace also provides extensive connectivity options and also launches at the same time as the renewed Wahoo app. This app makes planning rides, synchronising and analysing easy and is perfectly compatible with other training apps, like Strava, Komoot or TrainingPeaks.
Plus, the ELEMNT Ace supports all modern bike systems, like Shimano Di2 and SRAM AXS, smart lights and sensors, including heart rate, cadence, speed, power and even temperature and tyre pressure sensors. Thanks to Bluetooth, ANT+ and Wifi, pairing the ELEMNT Ace with other devices is fast as well as incredibly easy.
Availability and price
The Wahoo ELEMNT ACE is immediately available for the recommended retail price of €599,99. It's the perfect investment for anyone who's looking for a future-proof, advanced cycling computer!
Pros and cons of the Wahoo ELEMNT Ace
The ELEMNT Ace has a large, clear colour display that is clearly legible in all light conditions.
Innovative wind sensor provides real-time aerodynamic insights for optimal performance.
Advanced navigation with audio turn-by-turn guidance and an improved map display.
Long battery life of over 30 hours, ideal for extensive rides or mult-day tours.
Innovative controls via a touchscreen, physical buttons and synchronisation with the new Wahoo app for your phone.
The large screen makes this device less compact than the ELEMNT Bolt or ELEMNT Roam, for example.
Mark Jansen
When I was introduced to cycling a few years ago, I was immediately hooked. There are so many different ways to enjoy cycling, from leisurely rides and adventures to tough climbs and races. I do a lot of cycling myself, both road and mountain biking. In addition to commuting to work, I also do touring and training rides. In the future I hope to do a lot of trips abroad!
