Green Sphere products are made from eco-friendly and/or recycled materials and contribute to a cleaner production process. Green Sphere products have the same high quality and material characteristics as other AGU products. Moreover, these shorts feature lycra fabric, flatlock seams and have pre-shaped panels. These features combined create a nice fit and optimal comfort.
Mesh braces and a 60mm Lycra gripper
The AGU Essential II is equipped with mesh braces. This ensures that the shorts stay in place and are not too tight. The ends of the trouser legs have a 60mm Lycra gripper band, which keeps them in place.
AGU Green 95 pad
The AGU Green 95 pad is the ideal pad if you are a beginner cyclist, or cycle regularly. This pad is part of AGU's entry-level pad range and offers excellent value for money. It's made of a 10mm thick, comfortable foam that provides good cushioning for almost everyone and is quick-drying to prevent irritation.

Very comfortable, but the seam loosens quickly (1 month/1000 km).
I ordered these cycling trousers 19 March, but by mid-April after cycling about 1000 kilometres with them, some of the seams are letting go. Maybe it's a coincidence or the trousers only wear faster on me, but I expected the trousers to last a bit longer. However, the trousers are very comfortable and with this chamois you can easily cycle longer tours, which is why I was very disappointed when the seam started to come loose.

I think AGU underestimates their own product. These trousers are really good for the money. The chamois is definitely good for short rides but also longer ones. The fit is also very good, nowhere too tight or too loose. I find that the pant legs on these Essential II trousers are better than their more expensive trousers like the Six6 and Switch. I have more expensive trousers that are not as good as these.
