Shimano RP102 Road Cycling Shoes

The Shimano RP102 road cycling shoes are an ideal choice for novice road cyclists who want to get to grips with clipless pedals in comfort. The supple synthetic upper fits snugly around the foot, and the breathable mesh prevents the foot from overheating while cycling on summer days. The three Velcro straps allow you to adjust the fit quickly and flexibly, without causing any pressure marks on the instep.

Fit and sizing advice
Shimano shoes generally run slightly smaller and narrower than standard street shoes. We therefore recommend ordering one size larger than your usual shoe size. Do you have a slightly wider foot? Perhaps you should go for two sizes larger to ensure there is enough room for your toes.

Tools required: Allen key (4 mm) and, if necessary, some assembly paste to put on the screw thread to prevent seizing.

Fitting tip: First, tighten the cleats by hand. Then put on your shoes and enter the system to determine the correct position of your feet. Only tighten the bolts securely when the angle feels right.

Prevent wear and tear: Avoid walking on the pavement in your cycling shoes as much as possible. If necessary, use cleat protectors when stopping for coffee to protect the cleats.

Care: After a wet or dirty ride, clean the shoes with a damp cloth and mild soapy water. Leave to dry at room temperature but not near a radiator to prevent warping.

Cold or wet conditions: As the mesh upper ventilates well, we recommend using overshoes in spring and autumn to protect against the cold and road spray.
