The new Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM 3, BOLT 3 and TRACKR RADAR - Everything you need to know
Wahoo steps into the limelight again to launch the latest generation of its popular ELEMNT bike computers: the ROAM 3 and the BOLT 3. And if that wasn't enough, Wahoo also introduces the innovative TRACKR RADAR, a rear bike light with vehicle detection. Needless to say, we at Mantel are super excited to take a closer look at these new gadgets that are going to make your cycling experience even better, safer and more fun!
Wahoo's revamped ELEMNT bike computer line-up
After introducing the sophisticated Wahoo ELEMNT ACE in December 2024, Wahoo has now revamped the entire computer line-up. Both the ELEMNT ROAM and the ELEMNT BOLT have received major upgrades. Wahoo ensures there is a suitable ELEMNT model for every type of cyclist:
ELEMNT ACE: Wahoo's flagship model, designed for the ultimate navigation experience with a large display and spoken turn-by-turn directions. A unique feature is the integrated wind sensor that measures air resistance in real time.
The new ELEMNT ROAM 3: Powerful, versatile and perfect for adventurers who love long rides and discovering new roads. Now with a touchscreen, improved navigation and route management.
The new ELEMNT BOLT 3: Lightweight, aerodynamic and designed for performance-minded cyclists seeking precision and simplicity. Thanks to its entry-level price and user-friendliness, the Bolt 3 is ideal for those new to cycling computers.
The Wahoo ELEMNT BOLT 3: 'Ride fast'
For speed freaks and performance-oriented cyclists, there is the new ELEMNT BOLT 3: compact, aerodynamic and built for speed.
Main features of the ELEMNT BOLT 3:
High-resolution display: The new 2.3 inch screen is optimised for clarity, even in bright sunlight, so you can read everything perfectly, no matter how fast you're going.
Easy connectivity: Just like the ROAM 3, the BOLT 3 is easy to pair with more third-party apps and services.
Ready-to-Ride dashboard: Here, too, the dashboard lets you go quickly through the setup of your activity type, routes and trainings.
Up to 20 hours of battery life: Plenty of power for race days and long training rides.
Lightweight and small: The compact design of the BOLT 3 minimises weight without compromising on its performance and functionality.
The ELEMNT BOLT 3 combines a race-ready, aerodynamic design with the intuitive ELEMNT experience, smart navigation and wireless connectivity. Perfect for training, competition or the pursuit of your next personal record.
The Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM 3: 'Ride big'
The all-new ELEMNT ROAM 3 is ready for every cycling adventure. This powerhouse gives you a large non-glare touchscreen display with smart functions that make every ride effortless.
Main features of the ELEMNT ROAM 3:
Improved navigation and route management: Detailed maps with useful points, altitude data and road types, plus spoken turn-by-turn instructions. You will never get lost again, no matter how adventurous your route.
Large high-contrast 2.8 inch touchscreen: The ROAM's display is 22% bigger than the BOLT's and has higher resolution, improved contrast and glare protection. The multi-touch display can be operated with gloves on (squeeze, zoom, swipe).
Easy connectivity: The ROAM 3 is even easier to pair with third-party apps and services for enhanced functionality and data sharing.
Ready-to-Ride dashboard: Upload routes, synchronise trainings and check battery or sensor status super quickly and continue to focus on your ride rather than the computer's setup.
Up to 25 hours of battery life: Plenty of power for long adventurous distances and several rides on a single charge.
Modern design: The completely renewed user interface makes for a clean modern look.
If you enjoy exploring new routes or challenging yourself with long-distance rides, the ELEMNT ROAM 3 is your perfect cycling companion. With its clear maps and intuitive navigation, it gives you everything you need to keep your focus on the road ahead of you.
New: Wahoo TRACKR RADAR – 'Ride safer for longer'
Because safety comes first, Wahoo introduces the TRACKR RADAR, the brand's first move into the segment of bike radars and lights. This rear light is designed to maximise your visibility and to alert you to approaching traffic.
What makes the TRACKR RADAR so special?
Vehicle detection: The radar system detects cars approaching from behind and adjusts the flash pattern of the light to alert the drivers to your presence.
Innovative safety feature: A built-in accelerometer lets the TRACKR RADAR function as a brake light as well; the light gets brighter as you slow down.
Easy to connect: The TRACKR RADAR works flawlessly with Wahoo ELEMNT bike computers for the best user experience but can also connect with other bike computers via Bluetooth or ANT+.
Easy to attach and remove: With a two-step mounting system, the TRACKR RADAR is easy to attach to, and remove from, most bike frames.
Battery Extender Mode: This mode reduces brightness when no vehicles are detected to save battery life, which is good for up to 20 hours of use.
If safety in traffic is your top priority, the TRACKR RADAR is the perfect accessory for all your regular and training rides.

When I was introduced to cycling a few years ago, I was immediately hooked. There are so many different ways to enjoy cycling, from leisurely rides and adventures to tough climbs and races. I do a lot of cycling myself, both road and mountain biking. In addition to commuting to work, I also do touring and training rides. In the future I hope to do a lot of trips abroad!
