Sophisticated frame
The core of the Scott Addict RC 40 is its carbon frame, which is very lightweight and stiff for responsive and active handling. The cables run through the frame, which not only enhances aerodynamics but also protects the cables from dirt and precipitation. This road bike also comes with a carbon fork, which absorbs shocks from bumps and potholes effectively.
Shifting and braking
For gear shifting, the Addict RC 40 road bike has Shimano's new electronic 105 Di2 shifting group, which ensures instant and accurate gear shifting even in tough conditions. The road bike comes with 24 gears and an 11-34 cassette, which provides a wide range to allow you to pedal at your preferred cadence when climbing in the mountains. On the descents, you can rely on Shimano's hydraulic disc brakes, which deliver powerful and accurate braking performance in good as well as bad conditions. These disc brakes are also easy to modulate, allowing you to take every corner with confidence.
