In principle, it’s an improvement on the old model. However, the fastening system hasn’t been thought through properly. There isn’t enough flexibility in the hard plastic part that needs to be attached to the saddle. The system no longer fits properly on slightly wider saddle rails. A waterproof zip instead of a fold-over closure would save on dust and/or space. The fixing screws have no locking mechanism and quickly come loose due to vibration.

I've been using the Seat-Pack QR for several weeks on bikepacking trips lasting from 2 to 4 days. Installation is really intuitive, the fixing system on the saddle rails is one of the strongest I've tested, and the bag stays perfectly in place, even on gravel sections or technical descents. Access is easy thanks to the wide opening, and the 13L capacity is more than enough for light gear (down jacket, mattress, dehydrated meals...). Even when fully loaded, the bag retains its shape and doesn't sway. It's not ultra-light, but the construction is robust and built to last. Special mention should be made of the effective compression system and the air valve, which makes for compact storage. In short, a really good product, provided you accept its slightly high price.

Great saddlebag the stays firmly in place whatever the terrain. Only downside is that I had to change my saddle because the anchoring did not fit, but in retrospect that was also a good upgrade.

fast delivery! nice and functional details such as the cover at the bottom - protects bag and rider from wear or dirt orange adjustable elastic band on top come in handy after rain: secured my wet rain coat so it could dry while I continued my ride straps at the sides make it easy to secure the objects inside the bag, they are easily fastened easy to clean: just wash off any dirt with the garden hose
