4 / 5
It provides good protection for the spring mechanism, but it is relatively expensive
I find it a drawback that the cover doesn’t have a zip. The downside of this is that you have to remove the entire seatpost from the bike to put the cover on or take it off.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Stand up straight and give it a go!
After more than 5,000 km, the suspension in the seat tube could no longer be adjusted: even on tarmac, it was jolting in time with my pedalling! The result: saddle soreness right in the middle of the cycling season... So I set out to find a better and more durable alternative. I’d previously tried a parallel suspension system from another brand, but it didn’t give me the desired effect. Perhaps a more expensive system would do the trick? After thorough research, I eventually settled on the Kinekt seatpost. I fitted it straight away and tested it on a very bumpy cobbled section and on an adjacent potholed country lane: what a treat! The result exceeded my wildest – but also most cautious – expectations! After 500 km of cycling through the countryside on often very ‘rural’ roads, my satisfaction has been fully confirmed! So it wasn’t a waste of money at all, but a very worthwhile investment. No more saddle soreness, no more dread of country lanes… Long live the countryside! Note: I’m usually sparing with superlatives and ‘5-star’ ratings unless they’re absolutely warranted.

Reliable protection for your Kinekt seatpost mechanism
I wanted to protect my rather expensive seatpost from mud and other grime. The wrap provides this protection. A reliable and robust cover made from good-quality, thick fabric with a drawstring to ensure the wrap fits snugly around the suspension. It really completes the Kinekt suspension. I did have to remove the seatpost from the bike to put the ‘jacket’ on the suspension. But that was no trouble at all.
