Recon Jet

I own white model. The idea was to have your hands free - as I use this mostly with cross skating - SKIKE + road bike. What is for plus: - it has all sensors build in - so actually you do not need anything more - it can connect to Bluetooth sensors - it is making your life easier - if you have hands busy - like in cross skate with poles. - you can set what you want to control - so the screens are customized - you can see SOME phone notifications like who is calling and SMS. What is not perfect: - it is not really HUD - you have a small screen which you have to look into. And this is taking some of the vision. You need to use to that - then it is fine. I did close one eye at the beginning :) - battery live - that is max 4 hours.... but when you use a lot of sensors - can be less. - you can so far setup only 2 sports directly - bike ride and run.... so there are a limits. - data exported from the Engage are not fully compatible with other systems like Endomondo - after import I got only basic information like time and average speed, distance with detailed map... but no much statistics (I have changed sport from Running to Cross skate). - quality of photos - not so high.... - you look strange (white model) - suspected... but if you are gadget man - that is normal.... But - generally I like the solution. The GPS is very good and accurate, you have what is needed at your viewfinder - you have free hands. I wish there would be a navigation system - not only maps - decent one - when you can plan your trip and run following the route and if needed recomputing the route. As you are connected to mobile that should not be a big problem - as the nav can be done by mobile... So far what RECON is giving you is not so perfect. I would say - it is expensive gadget which for some sports is needed (cross skate). If you have 500 Euros left from the budget - buy. No need for any extra meter to have good stats for bike or running. And the platform is still in development. But keep in mind that this is not real HUD - you need to look at the screen - you would not see that in the background when you look forward.
