Shimano XTR M981 GS Schaltwerk

The new Shimano XTR components are developed according the 'Rider Tuned' concept. The development of the components meets the individual requirements and riding style of most mountain bikers. XTR sets the new standard for all cross country riders and off-road riders.

The Shimano XTR M981 GS rear derailleur with ultra small profile and Shimano´s Shadow RD technologie ensure for precise and effortless shifting. The goal was the improve the stability and durability by minimizing external influence. The ultra small profile is meant for aggressive riding because it reduces the risk of damage in small passages and risky trails. The shorter cage reduces slapping and improves the ground space. The rear derailleur works smooth and quiet under all circumstance and with very precise index functions. Furthermore it reduces the resistance by the jockey wheels with closed bearings.
