The Fulcrum SONIQ AL 2WF-R C23 AFS is a reliable aluminium wheelset with an excellent balance between performance and durability on a variety of roads. With a 23 mm inner rim width and robust construction, it ensures stability and high control on the road. Thanks to the pre-installed tubeless rim tape, the set comes out of the box ready for use, offering efficient power transfer and safe handling.

The strong aluminium construction with a sleeved rim connection forms the foundation of this wheelset. This production method results in a sturdy rim that can withstand the loads from varied surfaces. The rims have a height of 33 mm and a modern inner width of 23 mm; this size optimally supports tyres and creates a nice round tyre shape, directly resulting in high steering grip and stability. The wheels also feature 2-Way Fit Ready (2WF-R) technology, with the necessary tubeless tape pre-assembled from the factory. This enables an airtight fit, making the transition to a tubeless setup incredibly easy.

Spoke pattern
Besides the sturdy aluminium rims, this system features components that increase reliability. With a total weight of 1895 grams, the set offers a solid foundation. Each wheel is constructed with 24 round steel spokes, which are installed using the 2:1 (Two-to-One) pattern, which distributes tensile forces and optimises lateral stiffness. Aluminium hubs are at the heart of the construction and feature sealed industrial bearings. These sealed bearings ensure continued smooth rotation in various weather conditions. Strong brass nipples keep spoke tension consistent. Chrome details give the wheels a distinctive look.

Mounting and compatibility
Classified under ASTM category 2, this 28-inch wheelset is suitable for use on paved and light dirt roads. The 23 mm inner rim width is compatible with tyre widths ranging from 25 to even 69 mm! For mounting, the front wheel uses a standard 12x100 mm thru-axle and the rear wheel a 12x142 mm one. The wheelset supports a maximum system weight of 120 kg and is available with freehub bodies for most modern drivetrains.
