Newly designed carbon frame*
The heart of the new Procaliber 9.8 is the beautiful and modern frame. Thanks to the modified geometry, the handling characteristics have been taken to an even higher level. The slacker head angle makes it feel even more stable on technical courses, but it's still just as agile as the swingarm is wonderfully short, as is the stem. Due to the rigidity in the frame, the Procaliber is very fast, but also comfortable thanks to the Isospeed decoupler.
The Fox 32 Performance SC fork is light and responds smoothly to small bumps but also absorbs big hits with ease. This is arguably the best fork in its class. For maximum efficiency, the fork can be locked from the bars. Together with the light carbon frame, the Trek Procaliber 9.8 has the perfect foundation for maximum speed and control, both on the climbs and the descents.
* Frame size S has a slightly different-looking frame with a slight kink in the top tube
Smooth and confident shifting
Thanks to the Shimano XT 1x12 shifter and rear derailleur, and with the very light and stiff E*thirteen crankset, you have a very nice drivetrain. This allows you to shift smoothly and accurately, even under load. And thanks to the 10-51 cassette you have a very wide range with the Procaliber 9.8.
Beautiful light parts
The rest of the parts of the Procaliber 9.8 are also up to standard. The beautiful carbon wheelset, for example, is light and stiff, so that accelerating and climbing seem to come naturally. With an inner width of 29mm, the tire fits perfectly on the rim, resulting in lower rolling resistance and more grip control. And the handlebars and seatpost are also made of carbon to save weight and provide extra comfort.
