Description

Description

The Maxxis Minion DHR II rear tyre combines the supple knobs of a downhill tyre with the puncture protection properties of Exo Protection technology. This makes the Maxxis Minion DHR II mtb tyre a relatively easy-rolling tyre with good grip on soft, muddy surfaces and in corners. It is perfect for use on alternating trails in different circumstances. Therefore, the Maxxis Minion DHR II is an excellent choice for downhill circuits with long descents and long climbs.

The Maxxis Minion DHR II tubeless tyre is also a good choice for tracks with a high risk of punctures. To give the tyre optimal protection against punctures, it has been equipped with Exo Protection technology. Exo Protection is a puncture and wear-resistant protective layer in the sidewall of the tyre. This compactly woven material offers good protection against stones, gravel, tree trunks and other sharp objects that might damage the tyre.

Technology

EXO Protection
The sidewalls of the Minions have Exo Protection, a material that is highly resistant to cuts and has extreme abrasion resistance. This tightly woven fabric is lightweight and very flexible, so the tyre's performance is not compromised. Opt for tyres with EXO Protection when you are riding on exceptionally rocky, treacherous trails where the risk of sidewall cuts or damage is very high.

3C MaxxGrip
The triple MaxxGrip compound is made out of the softest rubber compounds for ultimate grip and shock absorption in downhill situations.

3C MaxxTerra
In terms of hardness, the 3C MaxxTerra is the mid-level rubber compound of Maxxis' Triple Maxx Compounds. The 3C MaxxTerra is softer and offers more traction than the MaxxSpeed, but is also more durable and faster than the MaxxGrip. So, it gives you the best of both worlds.

DoubleDown
DoubleDown represents a 120 tpi dual layer carcass with a butyl insert. This keeps the weight low for enduro, but offers the protection of a downhill tyre. Therefore, this gives you the perfect combination of protection, stability and weight.

Tubeless Ready
The Maxxis Minion DHR is tubeless compatible. This allows you to ride the tyre without an inner tube, which has many benefits. The main benefits are lower rolling resistance, more grip, control and added comfort.
