Pros & Cons

Pros & Cons

  • Absolute Downhill tyre or MTB rear tyre with good cornering grip on soft, muddy or dry surfaces.
  • Features an Exo Protection layer for extra protection from damage from sharp objects.
  • The MaxxTerra interlayer of the 3C/EXO/TR and 3C/EXO+/TR is softer and provides more traction and less rolling resistance than other compounds.
  • Tubeless-compatible; a quick solution for flat tyres when combined with a latex sealant.
  • Tubeless Ready technology makes the tyres easy to make tubeless with 90ml of latex sealant per tyre.
  • This tyre is not suitable for Trail and XC use.
  • Tubeless sealant should generally be topped up every 3-6 months.

Exceptional grip for the price of some extra rolling resistance.

- Bram 22 November 2024

Very good tyre that delivers tonnes of grip even in difficult conditions. This is not a mud tyre yet it performed very well in mud sections. Ok in forest, on roots and on rocks and stone (but that is what it is made for). So it can do more than is claimed by Maxxis. The price you pay for this is a bit higher rolling resistance. But if you ride downhill or enduro, that doesn't matter to you, or if like me you also ride cross country with an Ebike, that doesn't matter either. I wouldn't put this on my non-Ebike XC mtb.

Fine tyre in many conditions on south Limburg soil

- Bart 11 September 2024

Fine tyre. Have now fitted these to my bike for the 2nd time. Especially now with the washed-out mud and gravel roads in my southern Limburg backyard. Ride it all year round. Good grip in all weather conditions. Also fitted the front dhf, also very satisfied with it.

Pros & Cons

Almost no more leaks in South Limburg
Good grip in loose gravel with climbing
Good grip on slopes in hollow roads

Super! Very satisfied

- Elmer 13 June 2024

Ivm the bad weather in recent weeks, I was looking for a good mud tyre in the front wheel. This one does well here in the Limburg clay! Steers very confidently. No more slips. A bit rough on tarmac though but just pedal a bit harder. Definitely worth the compromise!

Pros & Cons

Also very good in the front wheel
Easy to mount
Good in the Limburg clay
Very good grip
Heavier on connection routes
