Which towbar bike racks are suitable for electric bikes?
Do you want to buy a car bike rack to transport your electric bike? Then a towbar bike rack is your best choice. Since car bike racks are mounted very securely on a towbar, most models have a maximum load capacity of 60 kg. Thus, these bike racks can carry one or two electric bikes.
Can I fit 3 bikes on a towbar bike rack?
Do you want to transport three bikes? Then you need a bike rack that can accommodate three bikes. Here, you have several options. There are bike racks that are suitable for 3 bikes as standard. Or, alternatively, you can opt for a rack for 2 bikes and use an additional accessory that allows you to expand the capacity by one bike. With three or more bikes on a bike rack, do keep in mind that the maximum load capacity must not be exceeded! In practice, most car bike racks can carry no more than two electric bikes because otherwise the maximum load capacity of 60 kg will be exceeded.
