Cube presents a solid electric mountain bike with this Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC Race 625. As the name is quite a mouthful let’s explain what it means.
Stereo refers to the series of mountain bikes with which Cube has been successful for years. Every now and then they are upgraded to meet the latest requirements and standards.
Hybrid means that this mountain bike is suitable for different disciplines. The Cube Stereo Hybrid excels especially on Trail and All Mountain courses but is also suitable for touring on flatter terrain. Despite the weight of the engine and battery, this bike is surprisingly agile. It is also easy to handle for beginners. With the Nobby Nic tyres you will have a good grip on boulders, tree roots and in the mud.
140 refers to the suspension travel of the front fork. With the 140 mm travel of this RockShox 35 Silver you will have full control of your bike on rough terrain, which is enhanced by the 130 mm travel of the rear shock. This is a great combination for All Mountain trails. Only on some actual downhill courses it may not suffice.
HPC is short for High Performance Composite. Manufacturers often choose interesting names for their materials. Cube’s HPC carbon is strong and light. The Advanced Twin Mould technique is also used on top-of-the-range racing bikes.
Race needs little explanation: this is a delightful racing monster. Downhill the Cube Stereo Hybrid is agile and fast. Uphill the powerful 85Nm engine gives you a bit of support. With the Magura disc brakes and their four pistons you know you will always stand still in time. Even in the high mountains this will work very well for you.
625 refers to the total battery capacity. The battery is well fixed in the frame but easy to remove when you come home, or it can be charged while still in the frame. The battery is fully charged within 4 hours.
