Description
The Continental Race King ProTection MTB tyres are one of the fastest mountain bike tyres by using low studs in high numbers. The Continental Race King ProTection tyres have optimum grip on dry sand and forest surfaces. The ProTection sidewall protection prevents external damage such as sharp stones or piercing thorns. The Protection layer also ensures that the tyre is sealed airtight on a tubeless rim and the latex will do the rest. In case you still have a puncture, the latex fills the hole effortlessly and you can keep cycling.

The extra layer around the whole tyre carcass provides full protection. The additional function of the ProTection technology is that the tyre is Tubeless Ready. A secret recipe for making the compound. The soul of the tyre, as Continental calls it. A mix of basic raw materials where rolling resistance and grip are determined. The tyres with BlackChili compound are from the top segment of Continental. This type of tyre allows for high grip and low rolling resistance.
UST Tubeless
Inner tubes are superfluous due to the UST Tubeless technology. Continental tubeless tyres can be fitted on all UST rims. The tyre and rim form an airtight chamber without an inner tube. The annoying “snakebite” is simply no longer possible. You can also ride with a lower tyre pressure. Lower tyre pressure provides more comfort and grip, who wouldn’t want that? The airtight layer on the inside of the tyre can easily be repaired with ordinary repair material in the event of a puncture.
