The Scope Artech Disc rear wheel was developed in collaboration with Schwalbe, SKF, and the TUs at Eindhoven and Delft for unprecedented stability combined with the highest possible aerodynamic advantage in time trials and triathlons. The innovative surface structure reduces drag, which, together with the ultra-low weight of 890 grams, makes for the fastest and lightest disc wheel on the market. Pure speed guaranteed!

Material and construction
The monocoque rim is designed using Local Reinforcement carbon technology, which increases the number of carbon layers around the spoke holes on the inside of the rim. This construction allows for significant weight savings without compromising on strength or stiffness. The rim surface features Aeroscales, which generate different air speeds for a stabilising effect on airflow and for drag reduction. For the shape of the rim, AEA technology (Algorithm Enhanced Aerodynamics) is used to guarantee the most efficient profile. The Diamond Ratchet SL system, made of titanium with a diamond-like carbon coating, improves direct engagement and durability.
Innovation and details
By using Scalmalloy material in the hub, Scope has created a unique bone-like structure that is both extremely light and very strong. The wheel is fitted with Carbonlite Aerospokes with high lateral stiffness for more efficiency when accelerating. The hub runs very smoothly on high-quality SKF bearings. The rim with a 31 mm external width can seamlessly accommodate modern tyres, and the hooked tyre bed ensures a safe and secure hold under high pressure. This combination of 3D-printed components and specialised carbon layers makes the Artech Disc wheel a technological masterpiece in professional cycling, which is confirmed by several UCI World Tour teams who have tested it.
