The Cube Nuroad SLX gravel bike is an excellent choice for adventurous riders who aren’t afraid of a challenge. Whether you are tackling technical off-road trails or loading up the bike with panniers for a multi-day bikepacking trip, the Nuroad SLX can handle it all. Thanks to its relaxing geometry and the C:62 carbon fork, you will fly over the dirt trails with the control you need. What makes this gravel bike unique is the combination of an aluminium frame with the electronic shifting of the SRAM Rival groupset. That said, if you are looking for a carbon gravel bike that’s just a bit lighter than the current SLX version, you could take a look at the Cube Nuroad C:62 Race model.

SRAM Rival XPLR AXS 13-speed drivetrain
This groupset offers fully wireless and electronic gear shifting. With the huge range of the 10-46T cassette and the 40T chainring, you will always find the right gear, even on the steepest climbs.

Carbon C:62 fork
As the lightweight carbon fork efficiently absorbs vibrations from rough road surfaces, your hands and arms tire much less quickly on long rides.

Who is this bike for?
The Cube Nuroad SLX is a perfect choice if you are looking for a versatile and robust aluminium gravel bike. It is ideal for riders who want to experience the convenience of wireless, electronic gear-shifting (SRAM Rival AXS 1x13-speed) without paying the premium price for a carbon frame. Thanks to the multiple mounting points for panniers, bike bags, mudguards and racks, and the wide 45 mm tyres, the Nuroad SLX is suitable for rugged off-road rides and multi-day bikepacking adventures. Please note, however, that you, as the rider, must not weigh more than 100 kg and that the total weight (bike, rider and luggage) must not exceed 130 kg.

When to consider a different model?
If your priority is maximum speed and lowest possible weight, you’re better off looking at a different option, such as the Cube Nuroad C:62 Race gravel bike. This model has a full carbon frame instead of aluminium, which makes it lighter, stiffer and even more responsive on fast sections.

In addition, the Nuroad SLX is specifically designed for a 1x drivetrain (single chainring). If you prefer to ride with two chainrings (for smaller steps between gears) or if your total weight – including luggage – exceeds the maximum weight limit of 130 kg (or 100 kg rider weight), you may want to look for a bike with different specifications.

Getting your new gravel bike ready to ride is something you can easily do yourself. If you opt for home delivery (available in the Netherlands and Belgium), we will deliver it largely pre-assembled in a sturdy bike box. All you need to do is fit your own pedals (to be ordered separately).

• The Newmen wheels and Continental tyres are tubeless-ready. With tubeless sealant and special valves, you can easily convert them to a tubeless setup. This allows you to ride with lower tyre pressure for more grip, more comfort and better puncture protection.
• Remember to lubricate your chain regularly with a good gravel chain wax or lube. This is particularly important after a ride in muddy or rainy conditions.

What is the difference between the Cube Nuroad SLX and the Cube Nuroad C:62 Race gravel bikes?
The main difference is the frame material; while the current Cube Nuroad SLX has an aluminium frame with a carbon fork, the Nuroad C:62 Race has a full carbon frame that makes it even lighter. If you are looking for the best value for money for rough terrain, and for fitting bags and panniers, go for the SLX. If your focus is on maximum speed and lowest weight, go for the Cube Nuroad C:62 Race.
