Description
The Cannondale F-Si Carbon 4 has been designed to make you go as fast as you can, anytime, anywhere. Got a competitive spirit? Then this may well be the bike you're looking for.
Super-efficient carbon frame
The beating heart of the Cannondale F-Si Carbon 4 is its light and stiff carbon frame. Thanks to the sophisticated geometry, the riding characteristics are at a very high level. The OutFront geometry makes it feel very stable on technical trails and still agile thanks to the short swingarm and 55 offset of the special front fork. The stiffness of the frame makes the F-Si Carbon 4 not only very fast, but also comfortable thanks to the SAVE micro suspension.
Great Lefty Ocho fork
The Cannondale F-Si carbon 4 features the Lefty fork that is so typical of Cannondale xc-bikes. In this case it is the Ocho, or eighth version.
The Lefty Ocho fork may look a little peculiar but its characteristics are beyond question. Very stiff in all directions, exceptionally supple thanks to the needle bearings, and with the large 55mm fork offset steering is simply very precise on this bike.
Great equipment
As for the drivetrain, there's no reason to consider any higher-end equipment. While the Cannondale F-Si Carbon 4 may not have the most appealing components of the Sram Eagle range, the NX/SX equipment simply shifts quickly, precisely and reliably. With the 11-50 12-speed cassette combined with the 34-tooth crankset, you can always find the right gear.
The brakes are Shimano MT500 which produce plenty of easy-to-dose stopping power.
Solid parts
The F-Si carbon 4 is equipped with fine parts that match the rest of the bike. Solid wheels, light aluminium handlebar, seat post and stem, and very good Schwalbe tyres. The tyres have very low rolling resistance and surprisingly good traction, that is, as long as the riding surface is not super muddy.
Cannondale Wheel sensor
Another feature of the Cannondale F-Si is an integrated wheel sensor which provides accurate speed, route and distance data. It can be paired with your cycling computer or smartphone via BlueTooth. It registers your bike and indicates maintenance intervals and more through the free Cannondale app.
All of this makes the Cannondale F-Si Carbon 4 a super-fast and exceptionally pleasant mountain bike.
Flex zones and a specific carbon layup allow the rear triangle and seat tube to absorb shock for better traction, higher speeds and minimized fatigue, whether seated or standing. As a result, you can go faster longer.
OutFront Steering Geometry
The Lefty's extra-long fork offset gives you more stability and confidence on fast and technically challenging trails, while also providing plenty of manoeuvrability.
Ai - Asymmetric Integration
The offset drivetrain offers more space for wide tyres while the chainstays remain short for traction and agility. It also creates a stiffer and stronger rear wheel.
