The Tacx Neo 2T Smart is one of the strongest, quietest and most accurate turbo trainers on the market. One of its unique features is that it can be used without mains power; it generates its own energy as long as you keep pedaling! The Tacx Neo 2T Smart T2875 is the new and greatly improved version of the T2850, its popular predecessor.

New level of noise reduction
With the NEO 2T Smart, Tacx has created something previously considered impossible: a completely silent indoor bike trainer. By redesigning the internal components, Tacx has managed to drastically reduce the Neo's noise level. Noise from internal air displacement and vibrations observed at low cadance have now been greatly reduced.

Improved ride feel
The Neo 2T Smart’s redesigned engine greatly improves ride feel. The developers at Tacx have successfully increased the trainer's engine power, so that it can generate higher resistance levels under specific conditions; during a sprint or during a climb at low speed. This very powerful resistance unit can simulate gradients up to 25% and sprints up to 2200 watts.

Pedal stroke analysis
Using the pedal stroke analysis function, you can optimise power distribution between left and right and improve your cycling performance with the software of your choice. In addition, the Isokinetic and Isotonic training modes help you improve your pedal stroke. The pedal stroke analysis is available through the Tacx trainer software,. Also, you can view your left/right power distribution through the Tacx trainer software or a Garmin head unit, or retrieve this information via Garmin Connect. This allows you to train even more specifically!

Improved axle compatibility
Tacx has made sure that the Neo 2T T2875 is compatible with the great majority of road and mountain bikes, straight from the box. It also comes with Quick Release, 142x12 mm and 148x12 mm thru axle adapters. Adapters for 135x10 mm and 135x12 mm axle sizes are available separately.

Road feel
The Neo 2T indoor turbo trainer has several popular features that the Neo 2 also had, such as the Road Feel feature, which gives you that vibrating feeling of riding on cobblestones, gravel and many other surfaces (available in Tacx Films and Zwift). The downhill simulation gives you that realistic feeling of getting a bit of tailwind when accelerating on a descent. Compared to its predecessor, the new Tacx Neo 2T engine has even further improved the Road Feel feature.

Maintenance free
This completely maintenance-free cycle trainer has been developed to make your indoor training sessions as smooth as possible. It requires no maintenance and no adjustments for you to begin training with the Neo 2T Smart T2875. Moreover, it is the only turbo trainer that does not require a calibration process, because unlike other trainers, there are no internal transmissions. Thus, the Neo 2T is able to measure your power with incredible precision, making your data reliable within 1% accuracy. All these features were created to make sure you can fully concentrate on training.

Interactive
This fully interactive smart trainer measures your speed, cadence and power output and can be controlled using an app of your choice. The Neo 2T connects wirelessly to your PC, AppleTV, smartphone or tablet using the ANT+ (FE-C) and/or Bluetooth (FTMS) protocols. You'll be able to start training with apps such as Tacx, Zwift or TrainerRoad in no time! Upgrading to the latest firmware is easy with the Tacx Utility app so, you can always benefit from the latest improvements and features.

Stand alone
With the smart electronics of the Neo 2T Smart trainer, you can also use it as a stand-alone device, without an external power source. While pedalling, you generate the energy you need to keep the trainer going! As long as you keep pedaling, the trainer will remain connected with your PC, smartphone or tablet. If you do connect the Tacx Neo 2T Smart to a power source, you can use the descent simulation feature.

What devices can I connect to?
The Tacx turbo trainers have Bluetooth Smart and ANT+ connectivity. Through the Bluetooth option you can connect to all modern Android and iOS smartphones and tablets. You can also easily connect to laptops with Bluetooth connectivity. If you don't have any devices with Bluetooth to use or if you prefer to connect using ANT+, you can opt for a Tacx ANT+ dongle, which can be connected with computers and laptops via USB-A.

To protect the floor and to reduce the Neo's noise, we recommend using a turbo trainer mat.

We also recommend using a turbo trainer fan because you may get quite hot when exercising on an indoor trainer.

What do I need for my new Tacx Neo 2T Smart turbo trainer?
To use the Tacx Neo 2T Smart, you first need a cassette. Make sure the cassette has the same speeds and ratio as your current cassette (e.g. 11-28t and 11-speed) so you can easily transfer the bike to the trainer setup. These numbers are printed on the cassette. To mount and dismount a cassette, you will need a cassette remover. You can find one here. Depending on the type of cassette, you may have to add some spacers to the trainer's body. Do you have a SRAM 12-speed cassette on your bike? Then you first need to install this SRAM XD/XD-R body on the trainer. Do you have a 12-speed Shimano cassette? Then you need to install this Micro-Spline Body first.

Can I use my Campagnolo equipped bike with this trainer?
Yes, you can with 9-12 speed groupsets. This does require installing this Campagnolo cassette body on your turbo trainer first.

What wheel sizes are compatible with this Tacx turbo trainer?
The Neo 2T Smart indoor trainer can accommodate 28 and 29 inch wheel sizes. If you use a smaller wheel size, you will need a front wheel support to be able to use the trainer.

Do I need any adapters to use my bike with this Tacx turbo trainer?
The Neo 2T Smart trainer comes with adapters for 130 and 135 mm Quick Release axles, and with adapters for 12x142 mm and 12x148 mm thru axles. Use these in combination with your bike's thru axle.
