Comfortable and fast
The Trek Rail 5 is everything that Trek's normal mountain bikes also have, but just a bit more comfortable.
Are you looking for e-mtb that has everything you would expect from a mountain bike, but with a motor too. Then the Trek Rail 5 is definitely worth a try.
The basis of the mountain bike is an aluminium frame with a fully integrated battery. The front fork is specially optimised for electric mountain bikes. In addition, the bike features solid frame technology such as a stiff down tube and Active Braking Pivot. You can adjust the height of your saddle for downhill riding with the dropper seatpost.
Powerful support
The pedal assistance is provided by the Bosch Performance Line Cx mid-drive motor. The mid-drive motor gives you the support you need in a smooth and natural way. The motor has a torque of 85Nm, which is enough power to get up even the steepest slopes without any effort. You control the motor with Purion display. This display shows basic data very well, and is easy to control.
Smooth shifting and braking
Shifting gears is done with the Shimano Deore groupset. You have access to 12 gears, with a huge gear range. This range means you'll have little trouble with even the steepest hills. Braking is done with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. Hydraulic disc brakes give the eMTB enormous braking power. Even in bad weather conditions, you can rest assured that you will stop in time with the hydraulic disc brakes.
