Frame and handling
The low aluminium frame of the Cortina Common Family provides an easily accessible entry and a stable ride. The geometry focuses on control and comfort, which is nice at lower speeds and with extra load. With a maximum load capacity of 170 kilograms, the frame offers plenty of options for carrying luggage. The rigid fork contributes to a direct ride feel, and the adjustable stem allows for easy customisation of the sitting position according to personal preferences.

Shifting and braking
The bike is equipped with Shimano's Nexus 7-speed hub that makes for smooth gear shifting and is well protected from the elements. This type of transmission requires little maintenance and is highly suitable for daily use in the city. The Shimano roller brakes front and rear provide even braking power and perform reliably in different weather conditions. Combined with the dual handbrake, they deliver controlled and predictable braking behaviour, which is pleasant in stop-and-start traffic.

Other components
The Cortina Common Family city bike comes with MIK and MIK HD systems on both the front and rear carriers, making it easy to attach or swap accessories. The Cortina Canberra tyres with puncture protection offer extra security on paved roads. Furthermore, the bike features a double kickstand, a handlebar tilt lock and an AXA Solid Plus ART lock. The lights are powered by a hub dynamo, ensuring constant visibility without using batteries.
