These Shimano XT M8100 disc brakes can be set up exactly as you like. Shimano's I-Spec EV mounting system makes it possible to adjust the brake lever and shifter positions. An additional advantage is that you need only one clamp to mount the gear and brake levers. Distance between the brake lever and the bars can also be personalised.
Servo-Wave technology for excellent braking power and modulation
The Shimano XT M8100 disc brakes offer high braking power and good modulation; the latter is due to Shimano's Servo-Wave technology. How it works is that, when the braking movement begins, the pistons move towards the disc more quickly than when the brake pads are closer to the disc. This results in better modulation and increased control.
Ice technology for good heat dissipation
Shimano's Ice technology achieves good heat dissipation so your brake pads are less likely to overheat. For this reason the brake pads feature cooling fins. For optimal performance, Shimano recommends using these brakes with XTR, XT or SLX discs.
