The riding position of this Cortina U1 focuses on sitting comfortably. Thus, this U1 already looks quite a lot like a granny's or grandpa's bike. It only has a slightly tougher design. With the fixed fork, the fixed gear and the back pedal brake, this bicycle is extra sturdy. These parts can all take a beating and keep the price down nicely.
One of the reasons that Cortina has grown considerably in the city bike segment in recent years is its appearance. And with this U1 city bike too, a lot of attention has been paid to the look. All chain guards, mudguards and luggage carrier are nicely piped in the same colour scheme.
Other than that, this Cortina U1 has all the parts you would expect on a city bike. The bell, the battery lighting, the anti-puncture tyres and the AXA lock complete this U1. Therefore, with this Cortina U1 you have a very fine, sturdy, beautiful and complete city bike that is ready for all your rides in the coming years.

Very slow and difficult to ride
I have been riding this thing to work and back, basically to commute in the city and it is quite literally super slow. Old people who run are passing me. Even when I pedal full gas, it barely is moving fast. I regret my purchase but I appreciate mantel sending it in 1 day and delivering it. It also started to make noise from the back, which I am scared of.

Fine bike at a nice price.
It pedals very nicely. Not too heavy but certainly not too light either. I enjoy cycling 25 km with it every day. Against the wind, it also makes good progress.
