The new Sram Force 22 rear derailleur has all the technologies on board to ensure this derailleur is the fastest and quietest. The Exact Actuation technology ensures precise, efficient shifting on every spot on the cassette. The teeth of the jockey wheel have been redesigned, resulting in the chain running smoother and quieter than ever before. With all the new technologies, its weight is still well below 200g.
For choosing a climbing setup there are several options. You can choose a triple or compact crankset. SRAM has with the WiFLi technique an option to conquer the steepest climbs.
The WiFLi-technique exists out of a cassette with a bigger sprocket(11/26 or 11/32) and a rear derailleur with a long arm. In combination with a compact crankset this setup delivers a wide range of gears. This derailleur is also needed for the big variation of chain lengths.
The WiFLi-concept can be used with a standard or compact crankset. If you choose a compact with a 11-32 cassette your range of gears is massive. The lightest setup is a 34T chainring and a 32T at the rear. At the triple set up, an Shimano example; 30T at the front and a 27T at the rear. Hereby Sram's system has a bit lighter setup.
Would you like to switch to this system? You need a longer derailleur and cassette and a longer chain.
