The Deda Gera Alloy Gravel handlebar is made of 6061 aluminium and features the distinctive shape specifically for gravel. In the case of the Deda Gera, even more extreme than the average gravel handlebar. Reach and drop are optimised in the Endurance Optimised Shape (EOS). The Deda Gera Aluminium handlebar has a reach of 55mm and a drop of 100mm and is available in different widths. This makes it easier to sit in multiple comfortable cycling positions.

The handlebar has a backsweep angle of 10° and a downsweep of 5° for a more comfortable set-up for long-distance bikepacking. The 24° flare and 3° outsweep at the drops offer superior stability when riding on challenging terrain. The 55 mm reach allows for tighter brake lever positioning, while the compact 100 mm drop provides greater comfort and a quick transition from lever to bar-end. With the Deda Gera Alloy, you have a 90 mm wide centre area to install any accessories and clip-on bar extensions.

Fine I think without trying

- Johan 21 September 2025

I can't actually use the handlebars which is very unfortunate. The most obvious thing is sram shifters and gebla roblox , but unfortunately that is very pricey

Pros & Cons

Nice and compact handlebars
Opening for cable management in handlebars
Scale on bends and stem
Not compatible with rohloff co-Motion shifter
Not compatible with rohloff twist shifter
These shifters do not fit over curved handlebars

Very nice handlebars, bars if you are looking for a short reach handlebar with a few quirks.

- Dirk Jan 16 June 2025

Fine handlebars, bars. I've already done a few hundred km on them, including a mountain bike trail, and haven't had a second of tingling or numbness in my hands or fingers, which I have with many other handlebars, bars. The short reach of 5.5 cm is especially nice if you can't get close enough with a short stem on your bike. Tilting your brake levers at the top slightly inwards in line with the drops works out perfectly with a fine riding position where your wrists are nice and straight. The alternative positions on the sharp curve on the outside at the top are also very nice, on the 'bump' near the heart a bit less so. The sweep inwards and that deflects downwards is pleasant to ride on but I find the highest point of the bulge closer to the handlebars, bars less so: your posture there is very upright compared to a horizontal handlebars, and that bulge becomes extra thick with thick handlebar tape, (partly thanks to the lack of recess for external cables, with internal cables this is probably less of an issue): as if you have a tennis racket in your hands roughly. But there are plenty of fine alternative positions for your hands to alternate. Riding in the drops is also nice and, at 10 cm, switching is quick and natural and the brakes are also easily accessible at the bottom with my GRX group. A little less drop (8 cm) would have been even nicer for a nice cruising gravel bike (but for riding out of the wind on the road a little less). Overall very satisfied. Great that Deda thinks out-of-the-box and makes affordable handlebars, bars in alu as well, thinking beyond just bending a tube. With carbon this is much easier but with alu it's a different story.

Pros & Cons

Ergonomic
Fine alternative positions
Short reach
10 cm drop is fine but 8 cm would be nicer
No optimisation for external cables
Rather thick curve close to the centre

Wonderfully comfortable and well compact

- Dries 16 December 2024

Because the handlebars, bars are well compact, you change between different hand positions a lot and easily. The ergonomics are exactly right so you experience a lot of comfort. Your sitting position does change a lot. I compensated for this by mounting a longer, lower stem.

Pros & Cons

Easy switching between drops and shifters
Feels great in the hand
Measures exactly right

Goodbye ants in your fingers

- Benny 17 September 2024

The gravel-style handlebars I've fitted to my road bike are very comfortable, thanks to the multiple angles. Access to the brakes is easy, with no hyperextension of the fingers. Perfect for riding for hours on end without your fingers tingling.
