Stylish and hip
A great city bike can be hard to find. This Trek District bike is both stylish and hip with a sleek, streamlined frame. It gives you comfort and confidence for your daily rides; it will get you across town and to work in a jiffy, or you can take the time to enjoy a leisurely ride in the countryside!
The Trek District 3 Equipped is a beautiful, fine city bike that is suitable for so much more than just the daily commute and shopping. If you're looking for a high-quality bike that's also great for touring, do check out the Trek District 3 Equipped!
Technology
Sporty handlingThe frame of the Trek District 3 Equipped is made of lightweight aluminium, of course. Stiff and lightweight frames are the result of many years of developing advanced manufacturing techniques in the area of aluminium alloys. Trek has opted for a rigid front fork and non-suspension seat post to provide a direct feel. Thus, this bike offers great handling and responsiveness. With its geometry that allows you to sit upright, its 40 mm wide tyres and its comfortable saddle you'll make many enjoyable rides with this city bike.
Efficient belt drive
Belt drives are becoming a more common feature on higher-end bikes. And for good reason. A belt is less sensitive to dirt and wear, which makes it, especially in the long run, more efficient and reliable than a chain. The CDX Gates belt drive on this District 3 model is connected to an 8-speed Shimano Nexus gear hub; it is a widely used and reliable technology that will let you enjoy this city bike for a long time.
Versatility
For cycling in the busy city streets you must have reliable brakes. The hydraulic disc brakes on this bike offer enough reassurance in this respect, as they provide plenty of braking power in all circumstances. And as the Trek District 3 Equipped comes standard with a luggage carrier, kickstand and lock, it can be used for many different purposes - touring, commuting or simply going to the shops; with the Trek District 3 Equipped you can do it all.

Fine, sporty and light bike
I am very happy with the purchase of the Trek District 3 Equipped! For me it is the best bike I have ever owned. The bike looks beautiful, but more importantly, it rides great! Cycling is very smooth because of the light weight and the sporty riding position. Your cycling position is between a normal city bike and a mountain bike. The saddle is comfortable and invites for longer rides. The bike makes almost no noise, is easy to maintain and looks solid.

Tough city bike with fine drive!
After a few years of being spoiled with my better half's unused e-bike, decided to go for a regular city bike after all. And what a bike it is! This bike has a cool, sporty look. Also, the belt-drive on this bike was one of the reasons why I chose it. It does not disappoint. It is silent cycling. I have yet to experience the low maintenance aspect of the belt since I haven't had the bike very long. Furthermore, this bike has mounting points on the top tube, down tube and seat tube. Ideal for water bottles, pumps or panniers. So all in all, a tough, sporty city bike, with nice colors, nice belt drive and enough options to dress it up with accessories. A small point is that it is quite heavy when cycling against the wind or uphill. But of course that could also be due to the fact that I have been on an e-bike for 2 years....
