The Schwalbe G-One Overland Pro gravel tyre is built with a Double Defense construction aimed at increased puncture protection and durability. The continuous Snakeskin fabric forms a protective layer around the tyre and helps to prevent damage. Add the RaceGuard inlay and you have a very solid basis that resists sharp objects on asphalt and dirt roads. Of the two compounds used, the grippier one is at the sides of the tread to increase control when cornering, while the centre tread keeps rolling efficiently.
Tread and use
The profile of the tyre is focused on versatile use. The closed centre tread contributes to an efficient ride, which you will noticeable particularly on paved roads. The larger outer studs provide extra grip when entering corners. The combination of these elements results in pleasant handling on a variety of surfaces. The overall balance between rolling resistance, grip and protection makes this tyre a suitable choice for gravel bikes and commuting.

A brilliant product for both tarmac and gravel roads
I think it’s a brilliant product, exactly what I needed. I was a bit unsure at first, but the anti-puncture layer was the deciding factor. I’ve now ridden about 600 km on all sorts of terrain, and with the recent storm, I’ve encountered all sorts of things under the tyres in the woods, I’m absolutely delighted, and on top of that, the delivery was quick and the price was great.
