Never lose your way again
The preinstalled bike maps, including mountain bike trails from Trailforks, ensure your navigation always works and you'll never head the wrong way again. The turn-by-turn navigation gives you clear route alerts. You'll even get a warning when you're approaching an unexpectedly sharp corner. You can use the Garmin to calculate a route for you, but you can also easily upload existing .gpx routes via the Garmin Connect app. Plus, the Edge 1050 will always select the route that fits you best, based on bike type and routes which are popular with other Garmin users!
Safety first!
The Garmin Edge 1050 has had quite an update in terms of safety. The integrated speaker doesn't just give you audio alerts about navigation, it also warns you if other Garmin users have indicated a certain stretch of road is dangerous. Plus, it works as a bike bell! You won't have to install an additional bell, but others on the road will still be alerted to your presence! You can also easily use the live-tracking feature, connect the Garmin to your Varia rearview radar and use it to operate your bike lights.
Can be connected with all of your favourite devices and apps
With Bluetooth, Wifi and ANT+ you can easily connect your bike navigation to your favourite sensors, including speed, cadence, heart rate and power sensors. Plus, it can be connected to your Shimano Steps e-bike system and electronic shifting systems from both SRAM and Shimano. Bad weather? You can still effectively train by connecting the Edge 1050 to your indoor trainer! In addition, the Garmin Connect app on your smartphone provides insight into your performance and progress, and you can also use it to upload routes for your new adventures.
Endless insights and data
The possibilities of the Edge 1050 are truly endless. This ultimate bike computer is packed full of useful features, from smart functionalities to music control and smartphone alerts with personalised training plans and daily workouts. Plus, you'll keep track of your performance during your ride, and you'll be prepared for everything with the stamina insights, acclimatisation data, ClimbPro function and food and hydration alerts!
USB-C chargeable battery
The Edge 1050 has a 20 hour battery life in the most intense user mode, and a battery life up to 60 hours in battery saving mode. That's slightly shorter than its predecessor's battery life, but because of the improved connector (USB-C) you can also charge it more efficiently and more quickly. You'll be ready to hit the road again in no time!

Fantastic!
This Edge exceeds all my expectations. The speed at which you scroll through the screens, the ability to arrange your screens to your liking, the accuracy of navigation, and the improbable sharpness and clarity of the screen. What a fantastic device! And why hasn't any other manufacturer discovered this electronic bell yet!!! What an invention! No more fiddling with an ugly bell on your bike. Superhero sound and in 2 seconds linked to a button on my DI2's handlebars, bars. In short; tis a lot of money, but if you can afford it and are looking for the best of the best? Look no further.

Top product for the price
More features, so a bit of practice in use, but works quickly and well, only had a crash once.

Can definitely recommend him.
So far............ In a word, great. Nice and fast navigation, no looking off course but immediately adjusting the course.

Big step up from the 1040
Whereas the 1040 was only a minimal improvement over the 1030, this 1050 can truly be called revolutionary again. The speed, sharpness of the image and the interface have been greatly improved. Nice to have: you can link the built-in bell to your Di2 button! No more need for a physical bell. The battery is a bit shorter than its predecessor, but still good enough (and always better than your phone...). The only downside is that at a certain angle and position of the sun, the screen is not easy to read. This only happened to me in the mountains (so apparently only when cycling up or down). In the flat, I haven't noticed it yet.

Clear and fast!
Very nice navigation. I am not yet completely satisfied with the settings (this will be down to me) , find it quite difficult to capture the right settings.
