Description
Built for your exploration tours on two wheels
The above description of the Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625 as a machine is intended as a great compliment. With this Kathmandu, the German brand Cube has designed an e-bike which confirms positive prejudices about engineers in that country. Of course, the extremely powerful Bosch mid-mounted motor with 85 Nm of torque is a fine feature, and the 625 Wh battery enables you to make trips of more than 100 km without having to recharge. But you only want to make such cycling tours on the very best bike that makes you enjoy every second of the ride. And that is exactly what the Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625 does. Its frame is sporty and rigid, allowing you to go through the bends very quickly and stably. But don't think that this bike is a pure racing monster; the suspension fork and seatpost provide optimal comfort. Furthermore, this Cube electric bike has high-quality components with a robust gearing system, highly visible lighting and a luggage rack that is beautifully integrated into the frame.
The Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625 quickly brings you to one conclusion: No matter how tough the terrain or other circumstances are, with this e-bike you can handle anything!
Technology
Suitable for any distance and any type of riderWhether you're into sporty rides or a bit more comfortable cycling, you will find both in this Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625. This is partly due to this e-bike’s versatile frame, which has a high degree of stiffness to allow for sharp cornering and which enables you to ride in a slightly forward-leaning sitting position to make the bike feel very fast indeed. As the adjustable stem allows you to adjust the sitting position to your liking, it is easy to switch to a more upright position. Thanks to the suspension fork and seatpost, this hybrid bike not only has a sporty but also a very comfortable character. This is confirmed by the 55 mm wide tyres, which ensure that no bump is ever felt again.
Powerful assistance
No mountain is too steep for this e-bike, which gives you the Bosch Performance Line CX mid-mounted motor with 85 Nm of torque. And when you come across a dirt track with loose sand, you don't have to turn around! This motor is powered by a 625 Wh battery which, realistically, enables you to make a 120 km trip, provided that you do not use the highest mode all the time. So, with this bike, you can certainly make a long day trip through the most beautiful natural areas. And if you're looking for a strong bike to ride to work every day, the Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625 is a great choice as well.
High-quality components
When you venture onto tougher terrain, you want to be sure that all your bike’s components are up for the challenge. With the Shimano Deore gears you can feel confident about riding on the odd forest path, as these gears are mainly used on MTBs. The 11 gears offer a very wide range, so that climbing steep hills or bridges is easy. In addition, you have hydraulic disc brakes at your disposal which provide great braking power both in dry and wet conditions. To top it off, this electric bike has great accessories such as powerful lighting, good mudguards and a beautifully integrated luggage carrier. Please note that it comes without a lock and pedals as standard.

The Mercedes among e-bikes
I bought it myself mainly for commuting which it might be a bit too overkill for due to the very powerful mid-motor and large battery but it does therefore ride wonderfully without having to recharge often (~80-120 km). I personally love the colour and the bike's sporty and robust look. Personally, I like more of a slightly curved sitting position which is absolutely possible with the bike as you can go in all directions with the adjustable handlebars. I did have to get used to shifting with a derailleur gear as I have always ridden with a hub gear but you get used to it. The removable battery was a must for me and is very nicely incorporated in the frame behind a battery plate. Incidentally, I think that plate looks cheap and fragile because this is just a simple piece of plastic that you slide between something and click it on. The whole bike feels super solid and robust and it cycles like that too. The low centre of gravity gives you a good grip on the road and the front and rear lights shine pretty bright. Highly recommended if you still know where to find one.
