Gentle pedal assistance
The Cortina E-U4 is equipped with the new SportDrive front-wheel motor, which makes you feel like you're being pulled ahead ever so gently. Because the motor is activated when the rotation sensor detects a pedalling movement, you get assistance as soon as you start cycling. The motor is powered by a 300Wh battery placed under the rear luggage rack. It gives you some 120 kilometres of electric assistance at the lowest setting. The fact that one heavy component, the motor, is at the front and the other, the battery, is at the back of the e-bike, has an advantage; the centre of gravity is more or less in the middle of the bike, which is beneficial for its handling. The power of the motor is perfect for use in residential or rural areas. For touring and riding on heavier terrain, this bike lacks some torque and range. Therefore, this is an ideal city bike for everyday use.

Reliable and low-maintenance parts
Since most riders want to be able to choose between different gears, Cortina has added a 7-speed hub. This way, you have plenty of gears to choose from, especially for city use. In addition, this gear system requires little maintenance, which is great for a city bike that is used every day. The roller brakes ensure that you can come to a timely stop in busy traffic. Although their braking distance is a bit longer than in other brake systems, they function properly in all conditions and are virtually indestructible.
