Pros & Cons

Pros & Cons

  • The PuncturePlugger is easy to use, even for beginners.
  • This handy tool allows you to seal holes of up to 5mm in your outer tyre.
  • The PuncturePlugger is compact and lightweight, so you can easily take it with you on your bike.
  • Is the hole larger than 5mm? Then the outer tyre is not salvageable.

1 / 5

Only for mountain bikes

- Ben 4 February 2026

The fork of this tool is not adapted to fine drill bits and yet there are 3 of them supplied. If you're trying to repair your road bike, you're going to enlarge the hole, the bit can't seal it and it ends up coming out when you put pressure back into the tyre.

Does what you expect

- Mark 20 January 2026

Fortunately, it only had to use it once, but it worked perfectly immediately. Plugged gravel tyre has lasted for over a month, so it works properly. I am sure there will be lighter and smaller alternatives like the Dynaplug, but price/quality this one works top.

Pros & Cons

Different size of plugs included
Perfect for gravel
Price/quality ratio
There may be smaller/lighter variants

Not recommended for tubeless race tyres.na

- Paul. 4 November 2024

After about 30 km, the prop worked its way out of the tyre again.

Pros & Cons

For emergencies, it can save you for a while.
Not so suitable for tubeless race tyres.
