BBB Cycling Easytire BTL-78

After many years of fitting tyres (for reference: including racing motorbike tyres and balancing them) without any problems, I’ve been riding on Pirelli P Zero Race TLR RS tyres since last week. So, tubeless racing tyres. Before that, I always rode on Continental Grand Prix 5000 tubeless tyres, which you can fit onto the rims with your little finger. Right, back to the Pirellis. On my FWDD rims, it was a nightmare trying to fit them by hand. I eventually managed it, but ended up with a blister (never had one before), tyre grease and a lot of swearing. Oh yes, not to mention securing one side of the tyre with a cable tie. Today I fitted the second Pirelli and, out of frustration, bought this BBB Easytire tool. I’d never used anything like it before and didn’t believe in it at all. But a miracle happened. The Pirelli was on in no time. Super easy!! I did use a thin disposable cleaning cloth to protect the carbon rim (between the rim and the part of the tyre that wasn’t in the rim yet) and, of course, a cable tie to secure one side, so you can concentrate on that side. Easytire, already my favourite tool of 2026 :) Just for fun, I took the tyre off again. That was really tricky too, but this time I used special tyre levers from Parktool – the steel and plastic ones. You’d probably break those modern plastic tyre levers with these tyres, and you’d struggle to get them in there anyway.

Again, a supplier who cannot ask in advance if you want to receive a review request and if you ask not to do so they handlebars another week later....

My bike has somewhat wider tyres. Doesn't work with that, unfortunately.
