The Zipp 454 NSW wheelset for innovative performance
The Zipp 454 NSW Tubeless Disc Brake wheelset is the ultimate choice for the performance-minded cyclist. The varying rim height is intended to reduce wind sensitivity while maintaining the aerodynamic properties of a deeper rim. The wide rim is specifically designed for a tubeless setup, which allows you to ride at lower pressures, decreases rolling resistance and dampens vibrations, resulting in a more energy-efficient ride. For optimal performance, 28 mm tyres are recommended for this wheelset.

Sophisticated technology and design
With their unique 58 mm Sawtooth rim shape and Hyperfoils, the 454 NSW road bike wheels provide the best mix of aerodynamics and stability. They feature Zipp's Total System Efficiency (TSE), aimed at reducing the main speed hindrances, namely drag, rolling resistance, gravity and vibration. The hookless rims provide a seamless transition between tyre and rim, further improving aerodynamics. Thanks to efficient carbon distribution, these rims are lighter and stronger than in traditional models.

Zipp ZR1 SL hubs
The new Zipp ZR1 SL hubs have been specially developed for NSW high-end wheel sets. The hub uses a 6-pawl system, with three pawls placed with a slight deviation to create double the engagement. In this way, the hub has 66 engagement points, giving an engagement of 5.5 degrees. Thus, power is transferred to the wheel quickly and efficiently. The hubs use ceramic bearings for the lowest resistance and weight.

Tubeless ready
Making your wheels tubeless has never been easier. The rims are optimised for easy tool-free fitting, and no compressor is needed to fit the tyres. The wide hookless rims are also made for lower tyre pressures, especially with a tubeless setup. The maximum tyre pressure, therefore, is 'only' 5 Bar (72.2 PSI). The result is a larger contact surface with the ground for more traction and agility both on descents and when riding in wet conditions.

Hookless rims
Zipp's 454 NSW Tubeless Disc Brake rims are manufactured without hooks in which the tyre edges rest. The pressure of the inner tubes combined with the edges of the special hookless-compatible tyres ensure that the tyres stay in place. This allows you to fit wider tyres and to experience less resistance. In short: more comfort and higher speeds!

For ultimate security, the Zipp Lifetime Warranty programme gives you a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects! The warranty is activated after registration of your wheel(set) with Zipp and is non-transferable upon sale.

Please note:
If you want to ride with inner tubes, you can only do so if you use tubeless-ready tyres, which are tighter on the rims than regular folding tyres.

If you want to use regular inner tubes with these wheels, you need inner tubes with screwed valves. You can then use the supplied adapter to be able to use the sensor.
