The Shimano Deore CN-M6100 12-Speed Mountain Bike Chain is excellent value for money. The chain is engineered to work with the HyperGlide+ design of the cassette. In practice this means even faster and smoother shifts than you were used to from previous Shimano MTB groups. In addition, the chain has been optimised for riding with a single front sprocket. This means that the chain grips even better on the narrowly shaped chainring, so that it falls off less.
Finally, the chain is mounted with a Quick-Link. This link allows for easy assembly and removal for maintenance.
