The Shimano R785 Di2 11-speed shifters are the first hydraulic road bike shifters originally introduced in cyclocross and which now are becoming more commonplace on road bikes as well. Hydraulic disc brakes often offer more stopping power than conventional brakes and allow riders to modulate their stopping power more easily under all conditions. No more issues with wet rims or carbon brake tracks in the rain, offering you less stopping power. The high level of modulation makes disc brakes a valuable addition to the modern road bike, both now and later.

Shimano R785 Di2
Instelbaarheid van shifterset is subliem. Zo kun je de afstand van je remgreep tot aan het stuur instellen met een inbus. Dit maakt het systeem geschikt voor zowel grote als kleine handen. Daarnaast is het ook mogelijk om de vrije slag van shifter aan te passen en daarmee ook het drukpunt. Zo kun je zelf instellen wanneer je wilt dat de remschijf aan begint te grijpen.

Het systeem maakt gebruik van de Servo Wave technologie die al jaren naar volle tevredenheid wordt gebruikt in het mountainbiken. Bij het Servo Wave systeem staan de remblokken extra ver van de remschijf af, waardoor deze niet aanloopt. De remhendel pompt in het begin van de vrije slag extra veel olie in het systeem waardoor de blokken weer snel tegen de schijf komen. Zo krijg je een systeem dat amper aanloopt bij modder, maar wel met een goed remgevoel.
