hard and rigid plastic, but well waterproof and easy to put on and take off. My cousin from Switzerland had a similar bag made of woven plastic, therefore more flexible and waterproof

I ordered the smallest size. It is for first big bike of my 12y old child. Is here enough space to bring water,food and repair set on school trip. They are not big items but it was the intention. It is definitely not going to carry groceries. It see really nice on the bike.

Very good panniers that I can actually put everything in when I go out. Each bag has a carrying strap so I can take it with me. Easy to install and they are really waterproof.

Fine sturdy pannier bag. Had to figure out how to clip it onto my carrier, now very sturdy. Does not fit on the luggage rack of my other bike though, as the attachment points are not adjustable in height

Very spacious bags, very easy assembly. You can also detach them very easily, but this does give me some trepidation that they will be stolen quickly. In 2 seconds they are detached and you're off with them. The snap fasteners are tight, but I often find it difficult to click them loose. Especially with gloves, this doesn't work. Currently, they are plenty big enough and, above all, completely waterproof, even with the rain that has already fallen over the past few months. Highly recommended for those who commute to work through all weathers.

Is not what I expected from it. Has a roll closure and is a hassle to snap in the 2 side closures each time. Bag has to be rolled up so far that little content remains. I now have the Vaude aqua front bags(14 l) and these are a lot more practical. Pity Mantel does not have Vaude panniers in its range.

Used on an electric full-suspension mountain bike with a Thule Tour Rack to avoid carrying a rucksack on long rides. Its 13lx2 capacity means it takes up less space at the rear of the bike, without getting in the way on technical sections. More waterproof in the rain than a rucksack. Easy to detach from the bike. The Thule Shield 13lx2 and Thule Tour Rack set weighs 2.6 kg.

Very easy bags. They can hold a lot. Internally, there are further sorting compartments to store small items. A pocket for small items accessible along the outside would also be handy. I took the colour yellow, so these make your bike extra visible.

Very pleased with my purchase. Meets my needs for my bike trips. I can fit a lot into my 25-litre suitcases.

Attention: Thule tour pack and Thule side frame should be purchased together to ensure perfect fitting of the bags. Unfortunately 'Thule side frame' was not available at Mantel, so at first I was not very happy and had to buy it somewhere else. However, the bags are super and highly recommended

Hiking bags

The bags are high-quality and sturdy - just like Thule. The yellow colour is appealing and has a safety factor that should not be underestimated - you will be seen! Unfortunately, the bags don't have any additional compartments on the outside, so you always have to open them to get to your wallet or keys, for example. Improvements could be made here. They are quick to attach and easy to remove. The size is excellent if you don't need to take all your equipment with you and are only going on a day trip!

Have been using the bags for over a month now. The bags look very nice. Not only do they look sturdy, they are. Use them for commuting. My colleagues even thought I paid at least €150 for them. Counting outside Mantel, in other words!

Nice bags (13-litre set in blue) that fit most carriers. I have them hanging from a Racktime carrier, but for example on a Thule Pack 'n Pedal carrier they also fit. Adjust once and then attaching goes smoothly. Removing them is even quicker by pulling firmly on the "handles". Then the clamps are released. On a bumpy dirt track, the bags stayed on well, so I don't expect them to come off easily. Inside, there are a few compartments for flat items, otherwise it is one big "compartment". This does make the bag relatively spacious (compartments are handy, but also take up space). The roll/click closure works well, although the material of the bag gets a bit stiff in the cold of late (around freezing). This will be a lot smoother in summer, making rolling easier too. But all waterproof plastic bags have this stiffening in the cold. It is a nice set, but for the normal price there is stiff competition from the likes of Ortlieb and Vaude. As I don't know those from personal experience, I can't make a comparison with them.

For me, Thule is at the forefront in terms of design, workmanship and material

So far I've only used these panniers on relatively short trips, but I'm extremely pleased with their quality. They fit snugly, are easy to put on and take off the luggage rack, and are bright and pretty. I'm confident I can take them with me on cycling trips lasting several months. It's the lowest price I've found on the market and delivery was very quick.
