The Oakley Sutro S Prizm Road Black cycling glasses are ideal for your rides in bright sunlight. The Sutro S is Oakley's smaller version of the popular regular Sutro model. This version has the same cool and versatile look and also offers good protection against the effects of the weather.
Sutro S versus regular Sutro
While the Oakley Sutro S has many similarities with the regular Sutro, there are some important differences as well. The frame width of the Sutro S is 132 mm, and that of the standard Sutro is 139 mm. However, it is not true that the Sutro S is an XS size or kids model. It is simply a smaller adult version, suitable for men with a small to medium head size and for women with a medium to large head size. Another difference besides the frame width is that the curvature of the lens in the Sutro S has been reduced to fit the smaller frame size so that you don't lose coverage to the sides of the frame.
Frame and other technologies
The frame of the Oakley Sutro S Prizm Road Black is made of O-Matter, a material that is so lightweight that you hardly feel you're wearing glasses at all. O-Matter is also highly durable and impact-resistant to ensure that your glasses will last a long time. The Unobtainium nose pads provide enhanced comfort and a firm grip even when you are sweating; these sports goggles remain securely in place at all times.
Prizm Road Black lens
This Oakley Sutro S model is equipped with the Prizm Road Black lens, which is very suitable for use in bright light conditions due to its light transmission of only 11%. The gentle deep-pink colour gives it a less striking look than other Prizm lenses. The Prizm lens technology regulates the colours you don't want to see away. This makes dull colours 'warmer', which then results in better colour contrast. This enables you to better distinguish all sorts of details, such as the lines on the road and other traffic users. This colour enhancement is also highly relaxing for the eyes.
