Giro Vanquish MIPS Road Bike Helmet

With the Vanquish MIPS helmet, Giro has created a new standard in terms of fast, aerodynamic design, cooling and adjustment possibilities! This is partly due to Giro's own innovative 'TransformAir design' technology. Hereby, the airflow is effectively guided so that you experience less resistance from the wind, and always feel like you're riding with a good tailwind. The Vanquish is extremely safe because of the In-Mold Construction and EPS Liner. These combine a strong polycarbonate outer shell with a shock-absorbing foam lining. The fusion process has allowed for an efficient ventilation system, making Giro helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets.

MIPS
The MIPS system consists of a low-friction layer between the EPS lining and the padding with an elastic fixation. This allows the helmet to move slightly (slide or rotate) during a crash. It will move around your head to absorb the lateral and rotational forces that could occur. This in contrast to a helmet without MIPS, which only absorbs the impact through compression of the EPS lining.

In-Mold Construction
The In-Mold Construction combines a strong polycarbonate outer shell with shock absorbing helmet padding. This fusion process allows for an improved ventilation system; as a result, In-Mold helmets are more lightweight and cooler than most traditional helmets.

Roc Loc Air fit system
The Giro Roc Loc Air system was specially developed for the Giro Aero helmets. This new system creates a small layer of air between your head and the helmet, so that the helmet floats just above your head, as it were. As a result air can flow over the top of your head, which ensures good ventilation. Just like the Roc Loc®5 system the helmet can be easily adjusted. The tension around the head and the vertical position can be adjusted using one hand. With this system, Giro is setting a new standard for helmet ventilation and comfort.

X-static Padding
Besides being comfortable, the X-static pads have anti-microbial properties to keep your helmet fresh for a long time. The pads are machine washable.
