Giro Cinder MIPS Road Bike Helmet

The Giro Cinder MIPS isn't just a good looking road bike helmet, but boasts some great properties as well. The design is based on the immensely successful Synthe helmet, Giro's top of the line product. The Cinder is built using the so-called In-Mold construction which has a polycarbonate external shell fused to a shock absorbing foam liner on the inside. The addition of the MIPS system makes the Cinder as safe as can be!

The Giro Cinder MIPS road bike helmet also has excellent breath ability because of its Wind Tunnel ventilation. Active vents are combined with internal air channels to improve the overal ventilation. The Roc Loc 5 system ensures both the fit and vertical position of the helmet are easily adjusted, ensuring a perfect fit!

MIPS System
The MIPS system is a low-friction layer between the EPS core and the padding, which uses an array of elasticated attachments. This allows the helmet to move slightly during a crash (rotate and slide) in relation to your head, thereby absorbing more of the forces caused by said crash. This additional movement is an improvement over the regular helmets, as they only absorb the forces of an impact by compressing the EPS core.

In-Mold Construction
The In-Mold Construction combines a strong polycarbonate outer shell with shock absorbing helmet padding. Thanks to its fusion process it is possible to sculpt a better ventilation system, so the In-Mold helmets are lighter and cooler than most traditional helmets.

Roc Loc 5

This cutting-edge fit adjust system offers a completely unique user experience with unparalleled levels of comfort, stability, adjustability, and weight saving measures. The Roc Loc 5 allows you to adjust the fit, tension, and vertical position of the helmet with a single hand. Tighten the dial a little during a challenging descent, and release a little for a more relaxed fit on a steep climb for instance! Even with all these new features, the Roc Loc 5 is almost 40% lighter than its predecessor, the Roc Loc 4.
