The Forerunner 970 sports watch is designed with a clear focus on durability and ease of use. The bezel is constructed from lightweight titanium, and the screen is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire glass. The bright 1.4 inch AMOLED touch display offers excellent readability, even in bright sunlight. Thanks to the comfortable fit and the strap that fits wrist circumferences of 135 to 205 mm, the watch remains comfortable during both short and long training sessions. Battery life is up to 15 days in smartwatch mode and 26 hours in GPS mode, so you won't have to recharge often and can focus on your performance for longer.
Functionality and finish
The Forerunner 970 is packed with innovative technologies and smart details. The integrated colour display offers intuitive navigation maps and instant access to more than 30 sports profiles. Use Running Economy, Running Tolerance and real-time performance data to analyse every step, incline or acceleration. The built-in speaker and microphone allow you to make phone calls or use voice assistance without having to reach for your smartphone. Features like Hill Score, Recovery Time, Training Readiness and Body Battery help with optimal recovery and targeted workouts. Thanks to Garmin Coach and personalised training plans, you can work effectively towards your sports goals. With Garmin Pay, music streaming and smart notifications, you are fully connected wherever you go.
The Forerunner 970 is suitable for use in many sports, including triathlons, running, cycling and swimming. The watch fits 135 - 205 mm wrist circumferences and has a 47 mm case size. Watch integrations work optimally when paired with a compatible iPhone or Android smartphone. Advanced analysis functions such as Running Economy and Speed Loss require the HRM 600 chest strap (sold separately). Thanks to SatIQ and multi-frequency GPS, the Forerunner's positioning is highly accurate, even in challenging environments.
