The Fulcrum Racing 3 road bike wheels have been popular on the markets for years, This is because of the lightweight, a high degree of durability, reliability and price quality ratio. The hubs are equipped with an adjustable cup cone system with the advantage that these hubs continue to rotate well under any degree angle, no friction is created compared to industrial bearing hubs and you can extend the durability enormously by regularly inserting some new grease into the hub.
The concept is simple and elegant: With an item of similar weight, the weight of the rim gasket is balanced on the opposite side.
2:1 TWO-TO-ONE
When you push the pedals, the force will act on the spokes to start the wheel. You don't want to lose power in this interaction. Fulcrum has solved this problem with their 2:1 spoke ratio pattern, by doubling the spoke count in crucial zones on the wheel.
DRSC - DIRECTIONATED RIM-SPOKE COUPLING
Exclusive rim/spoke coupling system. It allows the rim, spokes, nipples and hub to align properly with the same tensioning value in all conditions
MOMAG
A system where the spoke nipples can be replaced with a magnet. This is necessary when there are no spoke holes on the outside of the rim
ANTI-ROTATION SYSTEM
This system brings spokes to a next level. Engineers at Fulcrum have adjusted the spokes and hubs to create a more rigid construction. The result is that the spokes:
Never lose their lateral rigidity, so are always completely centred.
Maintain the tested position from the wind tunnel while driving, for maximum aerodynamic retention.
• 9/10-speed spacer
• Rim tape
• Fulcrum quick releases (front and back)
• (possibly a torque wrench)
Installing a cassette on a wheel is easy if you have the right tools. If you purchase a cassette remover with a Shimano fit, you will be able to mount either a Shimano or Sram cassette on your rear wheel. Please note! For a Campagnolo cassette you need the Campagnolo tool. If you have a Shimano 9/10-speed cassette, first slide the spacer over the body. Then you place the cassette on the body. This can only be done in one way because of the fit of the body. Finally you turn the washer straight on by hand and tighten it with the cassette tool. Cassettes aren’t easily overtightened, but if you want you can use a torque wrench for this.
• For Shimano 9/10-speed, do not forget to mount the spacer first before installing the cassette
• Make sure the rim tape is stuck well in the rim
• On both the front and rear wheel, there is a small adjustment screw on the left-hand side to adjust the side play

GREAT WHEELS
Bought these wheels through Mantel whose price was significantly less than any provider. Despite being in the height of the Covid lockdown they arrived in two days as stated. The wheels were intended for my winter bike (Giant TCR) but I was so impressed I have put them on my summer bike (SWORKS Venge). The wheels are light and most importantly they roll really well. I think they are the best wheels at this price point. Very pleased with my purchase.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Brilliant wheels for the price.
Very suitable for my level of riding. I can keep my sevens for the winter. Thinking about buying a spare pair at that price! Delivery and packaging superb! I wish every on-line site was as good especially as they came from overseas.
